Elizabeth Terlecki

Coordinator, Alternative Routes to Teacher Certification

Dr. Terlecki initially became a certified teacher through UD ARTC when she entered the program after a 10-year career in the marketing and graphic design field. She worked as a public middle and high school art teacher before earning her certification in Special Education and English and entering the education field in juvenile corrections and mental health, where she gained experience as an Educational Diagnostician, an Instructional Coach, and an Administrative Intern.

Since graduating ARTC, Dr. Terlecki earned a Masters in Instruction, completed the Delaware Academy for School Leadership’s Principal Preparation program, and earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Her research has focused several topics, including identifying and using creative teaching techniques to boost engagement among at-risk student populations, strengthening new teacher coaching programs and practices, and evaluating teacher certification programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness. She has been working with UD ARTC since 2018.
