Why ASPIRE Matters

Educators shape the future. Yet many aspiring teachers face financial, academic, and social barriers that threaten their path to the classroom. ASPIRE bridges this gap—providing students with the tools, network, and confidence they need to succeed.

“ASPIRE has helped me gain more insight into becoming a teacher. Thanks to ASPIRE, I now have the resources I need to prepare for the Praxis test.” – Vanesa, Elementary and Middle School Teacher Education Major
“Thanks to ASPIRE I have a community of like minded people to support me on my journey to become an Educator!” – Makayla, Elementary and Middle School Teacher Education Major

We welcome human service and education majors to join! Once a member of ASPIRE, students must attend at least two ASPIRE meetings, events or workshops per semester and remain in good academic standing to maintain their program eligibility.

ASPIRE students have access to exclusive scholarship opportunities that recognize academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to the field of education. Two scholarships available to eligible ASPIRE students include:

  • Sue O’Day Pritchett Scholarship – Awarded to support students actively involved in ASPIRE. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
