Tonya Haynes

Certification Officer/Academic Advisor

Tonya retired from the School District of Philadelphia after serving 27 years as a teacher and special education administrator. She recently worked as the Director of Partnerships and Placements and adjunct professor of Special Education at La Salle University. Tonya was born and raised in Philadelphia, but she now resides in New Castle County since 2020.

Tonya holds a Master of Education degree from Arcadia University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Temple University.

She has been working as a part-time Academic Advisor for UD ARTC since 2022 and will be transitioning into the full-time Academic Advisor/Certification Officer role starting Friday, March 1.
